Agogo aus Paranuss Schalen
Die zwei etwa apfelgroßen Schalen der Paranuss bilden die Klangkörper des Agogo. Diese Art Agogo ist besonders bei Capoeiristas beliebt, da ihr Ton warm ist und weicher klingt als bei Metallinstrumenten. Daher klingen sie besonders schön zu Berimbau und Atabaque.

Eduardo Rodrigues, in der Capoeira Szene besser bekannt als Mestre Negão aus São Paulo, ist mit seinem Capoeira Event ‚Vadeia Samba‘ sowie hochwertigem Instrumentenbau und einer seiner sehr angenehmen Persönlichkeit zu einer der wichtigen aktiven Charaktere im Capoeira geworden.
Er versucht immer wieder, die Capoeiristas aus den unterschiedlichen Stilen und Gruppen zusammen zu führen.
In São Paulo hat er seine Werkstatt - nicht mehr als ein kleiner Raum in einem Häuschen, wo er seine Instrumente bastelt. Seine Atabaques sind extrem hochwertig und handwerklich anspruchsvoll mit traditioneller Schnurspannung hergestellt.

Very warm sound. I like it and would like to play it in pagode.
The instrument is beautful, but it comes with big cracks. Worst of all: the sound of the 2 "bells" is almost the same, which doesn't make any sense at all.

At first I thought it was a bit too expensive, but this agogo has a really nice finish and a good grip. The sound is lovely, perfect for capoeira. Worth the investment.
schöner Klang, die Schnur , an der der Stock befestigt ist, ist leider einen Tick zu kurz.

Chose this Agogo for its beautiful finish and very nice traditional // tribal sound..
The handle was a usp.. nicely rounded.. for long sessions it seemed more comfortable
