Samba Carnival in Helsinki 2024
Samba carnival in Finland? You read that right! And a big one at that: from 3-9 June 2024, Finland's capital will be celebrating its city carnival with 40,000 spectators, participants, musicians and sambistas.
The Helsinki Samba Carnival takes place every year in June, this year from 3 to 9 June 2024.
The event includes a programme open to all and mostly free of charge, workshops, celebrations and of course the highlight of Helsinki's summer, the carnival parades with plenty of Samba! The event is suitable for everyone, family-friendly and of course perfect for sambistas!
Lots of Samba, family-friendly event in the heart of Helsinki
Venues include Senate Square, Esplanadi and the Apollo Live Club in the city centre. The event is organised by the Association of Finnish Samba Schools (SSKL) together with the Helsinki Samba Carnaval working group.
Every year, the event attracts up to 40,000 spectators, making it the largest carnival event in Finland. In addition to the local audience, the event also attracts tourists and sambistas from all over the world.
