NEW GOPE COLLECTION

NOW ONLINE - NEW INSTRUMENT COLLECTION BY GOPE

We are thrilled that it worked out before the carnival season 2017 - our new and lovely assortment by Gope is now online!
There is a lot to discover, Gope has it's very own style and looks. Construction and design are unique! Most instruments have epoxy coated hardware, black and shiny!  But what will probably be the most interesting fact for you is that the company is now using their light-weight construction (which we know from their incredibly superlight Samba Reggae Olodum Surdos) for many of their instruments! The 14" Samba Reggae snare drum e.g. weighs no more than 1,9 kg (!), their 12" repinique brings no more than 2,3 kg on the scale and hits one the lowest weight limits we offer!

INNOVATIVE - CAIXA STRINGS WITHOUT TYING KNOTS

Fiddling your caixa strings on your instrument and tying knots so that the tension is equal on all sides has always bothered you? Well there's good news because Gope has developed a simple system to avoid the hassle! They have developed a standard 12" x 20cm malacacheta (1,9 kg only!) with an quick and easy system: On the strainer there is a cotter pin, the strings have little loops on each side. You simply thread the pin through the loops and stick the pin back on the strainer, done.
If you prefer the traditional way of tying your strings but like the light shell and crisp sound of the caixa, just leave away the cotter pin and tie as usual.

PRACTISING TAMBORIM IN YOUR FLAT - NOT A PROBLEM ANY MORE

Fans of Forró will rub their hands with joy, with this collection we have received a lovely zabumba whith authentic tuning system on both sides!
Attention tamborim players! From now on, practising at home is no problem any more. The silent heads by Gope are really silent - you can hear a pin drop! Get just the silent head to put on your tamborim yourself or get one already mounted.
Friends of Samba de Mesa and Pagode - you now have an even bigger choice of beautifull wood surdos (which of course also can be played in baterías), rebolos, pandeiros and cuicas. Don't forget to take a look at the small hand percussion section and discover new reco recos, ganzás, caxixis and agogós!

Enjoy sniffing around on our site - the carnival may now come!
