Sambarajote Percussion Fest 2025 – A New Afro-Brazilian Percussion Festival in Murcia
This exciting new event is set to enrich the European Samba scene with rhythm, culture, and a vibrant sense of community. Organized by Asociación RODA and Afro Samba Connection Dakïtu, the festival is dedicated to promoting Afro-Brazilian music and dance while fostering cultural engagement and social inclusion. RODA works to preserve and spread Afro-Brazilian heritage beyond music, creating inclusive spaces where people from diverse backgrounds can come together, learn, and celebrate cultural diversity.
The festival features a dynamic lineup of workshops, performances, and concerts. Highlights include:
- Percussion workshops – Body percussion with Batu Bacana
- Live performances – experience the energy of Dakïtu Afro Samba
- LGBTQ+ Pride Celebration – A night of music with Anomaíla Montes and Jungleo DJ
- Workshops for Samba Reggae, Samba Enredo, and African dance – full details to be announced shortly on the festival website
- One of the festival’s key participants is Dakïtu Afro Samba, a batucada school based in Alcantarilla (Murcia) and Alboraya (Valencia).
Kalango is excited to support this diverse and inclusive new event and wishes all organisers and participants great success in the first edition of Sambarajote Percussion Fest! Stay tuned for more updates and be part of the experience in June 2025.
