14'' korino head for surdo or tan tan

Nappa / korino heads are multi-layered, superimposed plastic layers of imitation leather and nylon, which are especially popular on bassy Brazilian drums. A 14'' tan tan with a korino head will rock your Pagode session. A 14'' surdo is rather a small size, but even here you can create great sounds with warm basses.
Note:
Too many korino heads in a band make the sound spongy as this type of head has hardly any attack.
Our tip: less is more. Equip only a few of your surdos with korino heads and your sound will be top!
The multilayer construction of korino heads reacts sensitively to beaters that are too hard. If your mallet head is too hard, the top layer will bulge out, it will no longer lie flat on the bottom layer and cannot produce an even tone, the vibration is disturbed and the head will break. Therefore we recommend to use only soft and always well-padded mallets.

Das Ziel waren in Klang und Optik überzeugende, bühnentaugliche Instrumente. Besonders die Timbals, gleich ob aus Holz oder aus Aluminium, setzen mit ihren 16 Spannhaken, ausgefallener Gestaltung und tollem Klang neue Standards.
