The frame is made of cedar wood with intarsia strip, hand-hammered brass jingles, stainless steel flatrim, nickel-plated steel tension hooks. Gorgeous, warm sound qualities with responsive jingles and outstanding wood finish. Weight approx. 360g (weight, colour and grain may vary with natural materials), natural goatskin.
Directly from the luthier's workshop in São Gonçalo do Rio das Pedras in Minas Gerais, where Georg Joos, a German carpenter and accomplished pandeiro maker, lives and builds these high-quality, lightweight pandeiros with a great and versatile sound.

Georg Joos is a carpenter and luthier from Germany who lives in the beautiful region of Minas Gerais in Brazil where he builds his pandeiros. To make a traditional Brazilian musical instrument based on German craftsmanship is a perfect match. With precision and attention to detail Georg makes absolutely incredible instruments in his workshop in Minas and uses only the finest materials for authentic sound. From the tension hook to the interleaves, everything is thought-out, lightweight, visually beautiful and of high quality. He hand-picks the skins, each instrument is handmade down to the last detail. An extraordinary combination of European craftsmanship and the understanding of Brazilian culture, music and tradition make his pandeiros unique in our assortment. German-made in Brasil.
