A double-layered korino head produces the typical bass sound with which the tan tan gives the pulse in Pagode sessions when accompaning percussion ensembles. The contra rhythms you play on the outside of the tan tan shell sound especially pretty if you play with a ring on your finger. Or you just use your flat hand. Typical Contemporanea - the shell is made of stronger aluminium sheet and therefore has a very voluminous sound. 2 attached rings are installed on the outside of the shell so that you can hook the tan tan on a strap and play comfortably while standing up!

Pagode classic: wood tan tan, black korinoAuthentic tan tan with wood shell, warm XL bass for your Pagode session! A double-layered korino head provides the big time bass you want in order to play the heart beat in your band. The rims of the shell are smoothed out nicely for the head to settle on, the comfortrim is made of inox, the hooks are chromed. On the inside of the shell, small metal plates distribute the tension equally on to the wood. The bottom edge of the tan tan is framed with an inox ring to protect the instrument and as an optical finish. There are 2 rings installed on the outside of the shell so that you can play the tan tan on a strap and be comfortable while standing up with it.

Sitting on the beach or in the park, playing samba. There's no better way, is there? Aluminium instruments are easy to handle and sound a bit sharper than wooden instruments. Hide heads (animal skins) are considered authentic in Brazil, is technically a bit more demanding to play than korino but sounds beautiful and - to be honest: it is quite stylish! The tan tan is the lowest bass drum in Samba de Mesa and replaces the surdo. This model has a compact 12'' diameter with a slightly conical shell and a long resonance body. Gope is known for its lightweight construction, their instruments are pretty handy when you're on the road a lot or on stages. The shell is rather thin-walled, the sound is not quite as heavy as with 14'' instruments. We think it's a fancy little thing!
