The Silent Pandeiro not only feels like a normal pandeiro, but can also produce all the essential characteristics of pandeiro playing in terms of feel, weight and jingle response, but in silence. Pandeiros are not loud instruments like bateria instruments, however, those of you who have small children or fussy neighbours, or non-sambista partners, will appreciate being able to practise at home but without getting in anyone's way. The pandeiro is an instrument that needs to be practised with particular regularity to build up strength, stamina and to develop a playing feel. Rubberised jingles dampen the sound and a practice mesh replaces the normal nylon head for realistic rebound.

Practising repinique at home with proper rimshots without driving the neighbours crazy - yes, awesome! Contemporânea has developed a silent practice pad especially for sambistas that has basically unbeatable versatility. A coated wooden frame that creates ideal rebound conditions and at the same time covers a wide range of Samba instruments. A piece of metal rim simulates rimshots. Marked sound zones remind you of hitting the correct zone on your drum. Cut-outs in the frame fit the pad perfectly in your lap over your legs and provide additional stability. You can also just pop the pad on top of the actual instrument. Or hold it in the crook of your arm like a caixa emcima or in your hand like a pandeiro. An accessory for playing at home, but also for warming up before gigs or for when you're on holiday to stay in shape.

Silent practice chocalho for at-home playing, quiet outdoor rehearsals and warm-ups - Contemporânea
Chocalhos are loud instruments by nature that are technically quite demanding and can always use some practice outside the regular band rehearsals. The practice chocalho from Contemporânea has the classic wood stick shape, weighs about the same as a normal chocalho and also has amazingly authentic qualities in other respects - except for that it's silent.

Light, practical and a must for everyone who wants to practice tamborim back home without driving your neighbours nuts. The silent head looks and works just like a normal tamborim head. A sturdy net is pressed into an aluminium ring. You can use normal tamborim beaters for practising, convincingly real playing feel and almost noiseless! If you want, you can exchange the silent head with any 6'' nylon head of brands we offer.If you want to the 2in1 solution, just take the mesh head off and put a nylon head on:The frame is totally Rio style! A thick shell produces a nice and full sound with hardly any overtones! To keep the tamborim nice and light and your arms from falling off, aluminium grooves have been milled out - that saves weight! Having only 6 hooks, the frame leaves enough space for your hand to find the right playing position straight away. The frame has an average height of 4,4 cm and is completely equipped with chromed hardware. The shell has a straight finish on the bottom side and a nice and flat top so the head sits nice and flat.
