The cap is about 1 cm long and made of elastic plastic. The caps can easily be screwed onto a rod's end and adapts to the shape of the thread.The protective cap is especially suitable for surdo, repinique and timbal. If you play with the tension rods facing up, the caps will protect your hands; if you play with the rods facing down, they protect your legs and knees from scratches.Most timbal players know the problem of getting holes in the front of the T-shirt caused by the thread ends of the tension hooks.
