SAMBA REGGAE - AFRO SAMBA  WORKSHOP IN BAD WILDUNGEN, GERMANY

To all of you who like to groove and love Samba,

finally we are happy to offer you our next version of the SAMBA REGGAE WORKSHOP in Bad Wildungen, Germany  from March 24 to 26 of 2017.
Where: Ense School, Brüder-Grimm-Straße 4, Bad Wildungen, Germany. Thank you to Sempre Samba for this!
After a great workshop in the past year, we are very happy to be able to offer you an even better event!

YOU MAY BE EXCITED!

Michael de Miranda and Volker Conrath will be your mestres. (there will also be a 3rd one, yet to be announced).
Similar to the 2016 workshop, we want to play a Samba Reggae and an Afro Samba with you.
The Reggae is from Muzenza's repertory, one of the big and important Afro Blocos of Bahia. Their most popular groove is the Mambo, which is part of our Bahia Connection repertory. You will find some clear Cuban influences in this rhythm!
The 2nd rhythms is the Afro Samba 2 by Ilê Aiyê, also part of the Bahia Connection repertory.
This groove is the developed extension of last year's Afro Samba 1 from the 1990s.

FOCUS ON NEW ORIGINAL GROOVES, TECHNIC, SOUND AND SWING

During the workshop we will work hard on our playing technic, creating a good sound and the right swing.
There will also be small training groups in order to go deeper and work more efficiently.
Instruments:
Caixa, repinique, dobra, fundo und timbal.
In Afro Samba, the timbal has an important role. In Reggae, it doesn't but if you wish we will find some suitable voices for you.
