Soft sound that goes well with other wooden instruments such as agogo de castanha, berimbau, atabaque and pandeiro. A familiar instrument in Latin percussion, the small percussion instrument has grooves that are scrubbed with a hard wooden stick to create rhythmic elements.The instrument is made from the individual limbs of a raw bamboo tree and is left almost natural.
