Diese 80cm Timbal ist für Dich die ideale Größe, wenn Du eine kompakte Timbal suchst, ohne klangliche Abstriche machen zu müssen. Der Durchmesser ist 14'' - ganz normal wie die großen, nur dass der Kessel etwas kürzer ist.
Wir wir es von Timbra gewöhnt sind, ist dieses Instrument eine Top Empfehlung wenn es um höchste Stimmung, klare und knackige Slaps, kräftige open Tones, satte Bässe geht. Viele Axé-Popbands aber auch Blocos folgen nun schon seit Jahren dem Trend, Timbals extrem hoch zu stimmen. Den Geistesblitz, die hohen Kräfte, die beim Hochstimmen entstehen, über mehr Spannhaken auf den Kessel zu leiten, machen das ohne Weiteres auch möglich. Damit war ein Grundstein für den neuen Trend gelegt: Der Korpus ist für extrem hohe Stimmungen gebaut, die mit einer traditionellen Timbal nicht realisierbar wären.
Mehr Material (Spannhaken, Verstärkungselemente) bringt natürlich auch mehr Gewicht auf die Waage, bei 80cm Größe sparst Du Dir wiederum ein paar Gramm durch den kürzeren Kessel.
Hübsch, gut gebaut, ein Ohrenschmaus, robust und in einer Vielzahl an Styles einsetzbar.

In 2010, IZZO managed to pull off a remarkable milestone by lancing their high-end show brand TIMBRA TOP PERCUSSION.
All TIMBRA Samba instruments have been developed in close cooperation with renowned percussionists. The objective was to create convincing series of instruments with great sound, optically outstanding and adecuate for stage gigs. Especially the timbals, made of either wood or aluminium, set new standards with their 16 tuning hooks, extraordinary design and spectacular sound.
TIMBRA builds all kinds of Samba instruments from wood and aluminium surdos, cuicas, rebolos to tantans and timbals. A special eye-catcher was one of the brand's first lines - the Carlinhos Brown Signature Series with timbals and bacurinhas with elaborate colour prints and designs on vinyls. High-quality workmanship, authentic sounds and flashy designs are still the main trademarks of TIMBRA.

Plus leger que je djembé, plus percutant que la conga, j'ai intégré le timbal à mon set de percussions pour en compléter la palette de sons. Je ne suis pas déçu.
Great compromise between the 90cm model and the short 70cm. Just as much bass as the long one. Perfect for anyone slightly below average height (like me). The materials and build quality are good and it looks great too.
Wie beschrieben recht hohes Gewicht , aber die gute Verarbeitung und der der tolle Sound macht das wieder wett.
