Timbal 14'' x 90 cm - aluminium with 16 hooks
In the last couple of years, the Axé pop-bands but also the street blocos have stuck to the trend of constantly pitching up their timbals as high as they possibly could. To keep up with the high technical requirements somebody clever came up with the idea to spread the power that presion produces on the instrument by installing more tension hooks. So now there are timbals with 16 (!!) hooks. Like this it is possible to tune up the nylon heads to a maximum without risking a deshaped drum. The power by pression acting on the shell through the tension hooks is spread on the body equally while the tuning remains at a maximum and the drum stays physically stable.
Izzo's 16-hook timbal has fantastcally sharp open tones, whipping slaps and deep and strong bass sounds in the center of the head. The slightly higher weight is easily compensated through the modern sound qualities.

Seit einigen Jahren ist IZZO unter den Topmarken brasilianischer Instrumentenbauer.
Einst kamen aus dem Hause IZZO aus São Paulo eher einfache Percussion Instrumente, die in Brasilien auf Grund ihres guten Preises viele Abnehmer fanden.
Dann begann IZZO, die Standards ihrer Sambainstrumente beständig anzuheben, und so wuchs die Firma zu einem ernst zu nehmendem Hersteller mit einer breiten Palette sehr gut verarbeiteter Instrumente, der sich auch auf dem internationalen Markt einen Namen gemacht hat.
Ein besonderer Coup gelang IZZO mit der 2010 lancierten Top Marke TIMBRA. Die TIMBRA Instrumente wurden in enger Zusammenarbeit mit renommierten Percussionisten entwickelt. Das Ziel waren in Klang und Optik überzeugende, bühnentaugliche Instrumente. Besonders die Timbals, gleich ob aus Holz oder aus Aluminium, setzen mit ihren 16 Spannhaken, ausgefallener Gestaltung und tollem Klang neue Standards.
Heute ist IZZO gleichauf mit den großen, alt eingesessenen Traditionsmarken brasilianischer Sambapercussion.
