Year for year our last weekend in September is dedicated to the Sambasyndrom in Berlin! This fantastic music event is organized by the Landesmusikakademie Berlin and will be taking place for the 16th time! this year. Well known teachers from the whole of Europe and Brazil will be instructing Samba Reggae, Batucada, Maracatu, Samba-Funk etc. in 19 different workshops. Two very special highlights this year are the pro workshop with Mestre Memeu and the Batucada masterclass with Mestre Marcone from Imperatriz.
All workshops will be rounded off by a memorable evening program and of course, a small, but fine Kalango sales booth 
We will be showing a nice selection of our large assortment and stocking all important heads, sticks, spare parts etc. Don’t miss off on our brandnew handmade pandeiros which we have developed together with a german pandeirista and which are a promising completion to the fine Bira, Fabiano Raposo and Pizzott pandeiros.
Kalango at the Sambafastival in Bad Wildungen!
Sambafestival in Bad Wildungen…for the 6th time in this amazing little town with more than 40 bands coming from whole Germany, the Netherlands and France! And of course when Samba rocks the streets, Kalango is present with good spirits, a large range of our samba percussion assortment and most important: heads, sticks and spare parts to make sure no sambista stays “unarmed”!
Dudu Tucci is the new endorser for CONTEMPORÂNEA Percussion Instruments
Dudu Tucci and Contemporânea both come from Sao Paulo. Dudu grew up in Vila Madalena, the district where Contemporânea used to manufacture their products and still run a large store. And now, after having become one of the most virtuosic and well-respected brazilian percussionists and teacher of inumerable drummers throughout whole Europe, their paths cross anew! Contemporânea, with its long tradition of outstanding instruments and Dudu Tucci, an outstanding percussionist...a perfect fit! And we from Kalango are really looking forward to a synergistic teamwork!
Dudu Tucci and Kalango will be presenting short video films with Dudu in loose intervals. These films aim to professionally introduce the typical brazilian instruments from Contemporânea.
